SPACE FOR A SCREEN

The Problem

I want a front projector but my current TV is so high it would get in the way of any screen placed on the wall behind it. The TV has to be at eye level as it's a rear projection model with it's inherent limited viewing angle. The room is too small to even consider placing the TV in another area of the room.

Possible Solutions

1. Replace the TV with something like a 32" widescreen which would then easily allow the screen to be placed above it.

2. Have the screen placed so that it lowers in front of the rear pro screen, the screen would have to be filtered to allow speaker sounds through from the centre speaker of course. One major problem with this idea though is having the screen too close to the viewing position, probably about 7 feet or less.

3. Place the screen above the rear pro TV, this would place the screen at a height that would resemble watching a cinema screen from the front row.
